The Center for Composite and Hybrid Materials Interfacing (CHMI) is a 3-Site NSF-funded Industry/University Cooperative Research Center (IUCRC). CHMI projects are run jointly by Faculty and Students at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, GA, Lead Site), Oakland University (Rochester, MI), and the University of Tennessee – Knoxville. Researchers with diverse expertise spanning composites, material joining, modeling, and inspection leverage the facilities and resources at the three CHMI sites, to create a multi-disciplinary, state-of-the-art research center.
